NEW DATE: Tentative June 24-26 2022

#letsgetrowdy

It is with heavy hearts that we have come to the decision to postpone the inaugural Rebelle Roundup Women’s Moto Rodeo. This decision has not come easy, but with the challenges and restrictions for mass events we are all facing, and the health and wellness of our community top of mind, we will be postponing our event to 2022.

Here’s why:

Community & Togetherness.

The Roundup is a community event, and it’s very intent is to bring the women’s moto community in Western Canada together. With current restrictions and so many unknowns, we can’t in good faith continue to offer a community event without understanding what it will look like. Imagine not being able to hug your new friends or give them a high five. Imagine the feeling of being policed with physical distancing and PPE when you are supposed to let loose, celebrate, meet new friends and enjoy every moment. Imagine being restricted to certain areas, eating on a schedule and not being able to connect with others. This type of environment would take so much away from the event’s intent, and we just don’t have the heart to drive forward in these circumstances.

Our event is not for profit.

We aren’t in this to make money. We carefully crafted our ticket prices to cover the venue, insurance, entertainment, long-table dinner and overheads like marketing and advertising. Not knowing what we could offer if we were permitted to hold our event means we could potentially be charging too much for tickets, and that is not something we want to or are comfortable doing.

We believe in doing it right.

We take this event and the trust you have instilled in us to host this event very seriously. And we want to do it right. We want to offer Western Canada’s first women’s moto rodeo, and we want it to be a banging good time. We want adequate time to cross all the t’s and dot all the i’s, and in 2021, we find ourselves in a position where we don’t feel we can do it right, even if restrictions change over the next month or two.

Next steps.

Although we will not be carrying ticket’s over for the 2022 event, we will once again be offering the option for your ticket to be donated to the Alberta Food Banks. Please email us through Eventbrite should you wish to donate your ticket prior to March 29th. Should you prefer a refund, there is no need to contact us. Every ticket will be automatically refunded starting on March 29th. Please be patient – this is a manual process for us and it will take some time.

The Rebelle Roundup 2022.

Yes, we are planning on hosting the event next year at the Last Chance Saloon in Wayne AB. The tentative date is June 24-26 2022, but is subject to change at this time while we work to firm up the details.

Once again, thank you so much for believing in us and thank you for your continued support.
